NWN2 Expansion Pack?

There is a discussion over in the official NWN2 forums about a preorder up at EB Games for Neverwinter Nights 2: Legacy of the Gith Expansion Pack. Rob McGinnis of Obsidian jumped in to say that the "posting by EBGames is a mistake. There have been no announcements of an expansion. Plus, Legacy of Gith was a working title for NWN2, I believe." Sort of a non-denying denial in a way. It seems a bit odd that EB Games would have a price posted, along with the ability to order, if there wasn't something in the pipeline. Patch 1.04 released

Patch 1.04 is now available via the autoupdater. We will probably use this version for our game on February 11, pending feedback from the community on any issues with the patch. Some of the features of the patch are the return of the "V" key to issue voice commands and emotes, improved functionality of the hotbar, improvement of tree textures, display support for the Logitech G15 keyboard (sweet!), bugfixes, and several improvements to the toolset and DM client.

Patch 1.03 released

Obsidian and Atari have released Patch 1.03. You can read the patch notes here. This patch has a massive list of additions, changes, and fixes. A few that jump out are the ability to put weapon combos (dual wield) in the hotbar, a change in the chase cam mode, graphics optimizations and additions (like anti-aliasing support), and additions and fixes to the DM client, toolset, and official campaign. NWN2 Warcry does not yet have the manual patch up for download, but I imagine it will on their patch page soon. {mos_fb_discuss:14}

NWN2 Audolo tool

There is a new tool, NWN2 Audolo, available on NW Vault that could be a great asset in our campaign. As it stands right now, players in multiplayer games must download many files, such as walkmesh files, in order to play in a multiplayer game. If the builder updates any areas, even slightly, the players normally would need to download all the files again. Obviously, this would be a huge problem. NWN2 Audolo "is a small free Download program, that is designed specifically for NWN2. It will download all necessary files, unzip them and create all required folders. If you already own some of the required files, it will notice it and you don't need to download these files again." So in other words, the program checks and only downloads the parts of a file that have changed, making for much smaller downloads. {mos_sb_discuss:14}

Patch 1.03 Coming Soon

In the NWN2 official forums, there is a lengthy series of posts in a thread, explaining what is coming in patch 1.03. The patch includes a multitude of fixes and additions, and even makes some changes to the camera. They continue to add to the DM client as well. Obsidian is hoping to have the beta patch out this week, with the patch then released the following week.
