You are now in Thargin's Falls, drying out. Most of you stand before a small halfling, who stands on a ramshackle boat. He is missing the last two fingers of his left hand. Next to him stands a crazed looking dwarf. As you approach him, you hear him greet Skotch. "Heya runt!"

A few of you are elsewhere in the village, such as Wilks who is of course trying to charm one of the ladies . . .

Sissfus tilts his head to one side, and begins to vigorously pound the side of it, in an atempt to shake loose the remaining water from his ears.

Done with that, he gazes around the village a little, and then at the boat which the party stands before. He shrugs and sighs softly, and mutters quietly to himself "Bloody civilization, I was actually beginning to feel at home in that swamp".

He looks around again, and spying Asia, walks over and nudges her with his elbow.

"Asia" He says, "Near death experiences change your view on life a little, and your bond with the natural world is certainly a different one to mine. What's it like, being a druid?"

Turning to Siss with a dead serious look in her eyes she replies "you're about to have a near death experience if you jab me with that boney elbow again.......", *keeps the stare for a couple seconds and starts laughing* "just kidding Siss, I couldn't resist".

"well, I suppose you can relate to how I feel", *gets a thoughtful expression* "you have a bond with the woods, the wildes, just as I do. But not as strong I think. Where you have or should have a foundness of being in the woods or the mountains, and a respect for nature, my feelings run deeper that that. I love being in the woods and wildes, and nature is a part of me, not just something I admire or respect."

*gets a confident and knowing look in her eyes* "It's just who I am. I have always had a special bond with the outdoors, I can't explain it. Only that I am exactly who and what I am suppose to be. *raises her hand and motions back towards the woods and to the mountains* "that is where I belong, where I fit. I feel at home there".

Sissfus nods at Asia, and then smiles wryly.

"I know what you mean...I focus my training more on the physical arts...tracking, hunting, fighting with my rapier and bow. But I feel that bond as well, it shows in my friendship with Merch, with the infrequent communications have with denziens of the wild....but..sometimes I feel as though I am...missing...something"

He shrugs, and then shakes his head.

"Not a clue what, though." He pauses "Aside from Alantha, that is." He says this with a smirk, though, the bitterness from his voice gone

*puts a hand on Siss's shoulder* "well Siss, I 'm not sure. Maybe you only think you are missing something. You have friends here. Even little Skotch as warped as he is sometimes is your friend. If you are missing something, don't dwell on it too much since you don't know what it is, it is a waste of your efforts to think on it. When whatever it is appears, you will know, until then, just enjoy the company you are in and know that we are always making a difference in this land. Can you think of anything better you could be doing until you fee complete?" , "now, don't get too warm and fuzzy on me." *removes her hand and give him a playful punch in the rib* "I'll still knock you into tomorrow to keep you focused* *laughs a bit and scratches Silk's ears*

Sissfus grumbles and mutters something to himself that sounds suspiciously like "Great, life advice from a druid who thinks that the answer to everything is chop it into small pieces"

"I didn't quite hear that, what'd ya say?..." *getting no reply turns to Silk* " I know you heard him with your ears....what'd h....he said that did he...fine *speaking to Silk* "why's he ask me things if he is not going put any value to it?"

Miguel walks around looking at the small village, leaving a trail of wet bootprints behind him.

He looks over at Lindalas, who seems to have his hands full with the children rescued from the Lurker.

"Someone's got to take those runts back to the swamp," he thinks, "maybe I'll take them back and get those tenders straightened out, recruit them to Tiranda's holy army. We could use more foot soldiers against the forces of oppression. They've lived too long in fear of the Lurker, maybe I could help train them to fight."

"But no, retrieving the heart is more important. Maybe someone from this village will be willing to go to the swamp."

The exp was increased to 450 per week for participation right?

Bedeo and I posted for both weeks. Wouldn't that be 900exp for us?

Note: I think I will make it through the whole game tonight. Have been fighting a flu/cold thing for 5 days now, doing better, but not great. Gonna go lay down for a bit, so hopefully I'll make it all the way through the game.

Sissfus' hears Miguel's comments and scratches his head as he looks around.

"Runts? what runts? Those kids followed us? I thought we told them to run back outside...I saw them leave! and...where are they now? running amok in the village?" He snorts and begins to yell out minor expletives at the children, then he looks at Miguel in confusion "How did they survive the river?"
