This thread will be for "public" (i.e. general) questions you may have concerning character development. For questions specific to your character, that involve info that would not be known by other characters, use your private forums.
I will also post some guidelines/rules here as I think of them.

A few rules/guidelines that come to mind off the bat:
1. I anticipate that characters will start at level 1, or, if not, low level. Keep that in mind when developing your character background (e.g. unlikely that a level 1 character would be a famous warrior with his own keep and army, etc.).
2. No drow characters. You probably remember how drow are viewed in Naeldor. While this could be fun for a while, I think the reaction to drow in the party would overshadow everything else and this could get to be a burden over time. Plus, you'd eventually meet someone who'd have the ability to follow through on many people's desire to kill your character, which is no fun.
3. No evil characters (but see below). Sorry for this, but I've seen and heard of too many problems with this in other campaigns. No need to be goody-goodies (think of Simon, Skotch, etc.), but evil characters will be off-limits UNLESS your concept assures me of some reason that your evil character would work well the party and not be a distraction. Plus, although this may be a cop out on my part, it is much easier to build knowing that at least part of the group is motivated by benevolence.
4. As we get close to the campaign launch, run your concept by me, just so I can make sure your character concept doesn't "break" some other plot in the campaign. Also, if you recall, there were adventures in the original campaign that dovetailed with most of your backgrounds at some point. I anticipate doing the same here, once I know your backgrounds.

hmmm, did you know Asia has a younger sister? lol
She might have to go out adventuring in her big sisters footsteps. Since Asia is famous, widely worshipped, almost a Deity.
Who wouldn't want to grow up to be just like her. lol

Justice, voiceless, unseen, seeth thee when thou sleepest and when thou goest forth and when thou liest down. Continually doth she attend thee...
I like it!
No wait...I mean I HATE it.
I'm thinking I could play what someone on some other forum coined a 'davinci-mancer' that is, a necromancer who is neutral, and for whom undead, dead bodies, death, decay, are all scientific.
"What ma'm? Your recently dead step-mother is rising from the grave to make you feel inadequate? Well, yes...I wanted to see what would happen to her corpse if I jolted it with a mixture of lightning and divine energy. Look at her, isn't she wonderful? AND she'll stop a rat infestation in its tracks...just don't watch her eat their tails, it'll but you of spaghetti forever"
Kind of like a not short, not annoying, not gnomish, not ... Buttersnickle..or whatever the name was. Scientific, very intelligent, no charisma, not very wise.
