As he saw you off, Burg warned you to be careful, as there were likely other bounty hunters searching for you. He also mentioned that the Black Circle was holding a drow wizard as a prisoner in the town jail.
Heading to the jail, you found your friend, Nizzre’ the drow wizard. You killed the Black Circle troops guarding him, and then turned to face him. Realizing he wouldn’t fool you into friendship again, he made a deal with you – if you spared him, he would take you to a tome that would lead you to Alantha Chath. You stripped him of his magic rings and amulet, and set off with him.

It all turned out to be another betrayal, however, as he lead you to tunnels under a barn east of the village, where you were ambushed by some stealthy drow assassins. In the chaos that ensued, Nizzre’s fled. You searched for him after the battle, but he appeared only once, trying unsuccessfully to harm you with a spell before fleeing. At least you retained his rings and amulet, perhaps the three most potent items you have come across in your adventures.
After finishing with Nizzre’, you set off for Waley Krows’ residence. On the way there, you were waylaid by driders, and then by more of Elri’s demons.

Coming to Waley’s house, you found the bodies of some Black Circle troops outside. Inside, you found Waley, but he was acting strangely. It turned out that it wasn’t Waley at all, but another demon under the service of Asia’s mother.

The creature polymorphed into its true form, and a long, arduous battle ensued. You eventually prevailed, exhausted.
Searching Waley’s home, you found orders on one of the corpses of the Black Circle troops, indicating that Waley has been taken off to Norn Fortress, west of the southern part of the village. You found nothing else in Waley’s home that might point you towards Alantha Chath or the ancient home of the Woodvale elves, so you can only hope that clues might lie with Waley, or elsewhere.

Heading back to the village, you came upon some druids standing in a circle around a shrine, casting spell after spell into the sky. One of them explained that, after the last drought in town, they tried to return balance to nature by bringing rain to the area through divine means. It seems they did too well, and now are trying to reverse their work to stop the frequent rains in the area.
