Fighting your way out of the basement, you finally came to the sunlight. There you ordered Simon to flee. Simon pled his case, but the group would not hear it. Simon thus left, and your group was short one Swordsman.

Talking to Waley again, you clarified the directions to where his former apprentice had fled. The apprentice, Malock, held a tome that spoke of a mystical way to reach Woodvale. In Woodvale perhaps lay the secret to Alantha Chath. Waley told you that Malock was reportedly dwelling the Hall of the Never Forgotten, a crypt of fallen soldiers, at Karom’s Fall. Karom’s Fall was the location of perhaps the land’s greatest battle. The First Great War raged around a hillside there for several days, as Karom made his last stand on the hilltop now bearing his name. He was struck down, and the warriors that fell in that battle are now laid to rest in the Hall of the Never Forgotten, in the hill itself.
As you readied to walk away from the shadow of Norn Fortress, a stranger approached you. With an artful tongue and a dashing charm, he asked to accompany you. Wilks Wildfire was his name, and after much flirtation with Asia and Bree, he joined you as you headed back towards the village.

When you reached Ransar, a Black Circle troop quizzed you about the summoned Slaad in your presence, and set off to report it to his superiors. You attacked him, and soon had numerous Black Circle troops descending upon you. Before long, you were scattered about the village, and in dire straights. Eventually, you managed to kill enough of the troops to beat back the attack, and regroup. You then fled south, and then turned west into the Stillwood.

There, you ran into a small boy, who seemed lost and confused. He did not know how he came to be in the forest. Suddenly, his eyes bugged out and his voice changed. Lindalas, wary of past surprises, struck him down with an arrow. As the boy lay dying on the ground, the voice of Elri, Asia’s mother, came from his lips. She taunted you, telling you that her demons would slay you eventually, and that she would get the dagger first. The boy then passed away, a peaceful look coming over him.
Bree took sympathy on the boy, and Lindalas carried him back to Waley’s home. There, Bree called on Trianda and brought him back from the dead. The boy’s death was just a bad dream to him at that point. Waley then came home, and it turned out that he was the boy’s uncle. He promised to see him home safely.
You have now left Waley’s home, and are gathering to continue your journey westward, towards the historic and holy ground of Karom’s Fall.
