I'm a big Obliv. fan, I did put it down for awhile, but then picked it up again recently.

I just love how much effort went into it. That's one game where you never go, what the heck did I pay for here.

I'm going to check out Witcher though.

The Witcher was good.

I play the Guild Wars group...all three chapters. I also play Dungeon Runners (mindless killing) and Hellgate: London....my biggest obsession. :)

I'm replaying Planescape and have toyed with Jade Empire though the whole martial arts thing isn't my bag.

I LOVED and I do mean LOVED Bioshock. Great story and tons of fun as a shooter-esque kind of story.

An update here. In an attempt to broaden the genres I play, I purchased both the Orange Box, and Crysis. I play both on the easiest settings, at least until I don't completely suck at shooters. My take on them follows, so read no more if you have no interest in either game.

Crysis is actually quite fun. It is pretty open-ended so far (although not as open-ended as reviews would lead you to believe). I like that you can use your imagination to accomplish objectives. For example, there is one part of the game where the bad guys are gathered by the shore, near a ramshackle building built out on a dock. I've played through that part twice, and done it two different ways. The first time, I commandeered a boat, got close to the dock, and then swam and snuck up and took them out (I tried once to use the machine gun mounted on the boat, but after I mowed several of them down, they hit the boat with something that killed me). The second time, I commandeered a jeep with a machine gun turret. I came in from a different direction, mowed a bunch of them down, and then retreated, slowly picking them off from there as I moved in and out. The nanosuit you where is pretty cool too. It has armor mode (which sucks up damage instead of your health), strength mode (helps lifting, jumping, and steadier shooting), speed mode (run fast but only for a short burst before the power drains), and cloak mode (near invisibility). You can only use one mode at a time, and most of the modes drain power (which automatically recharges).

The Orange Box is a bunch of games in one box (HL2 and its first two episodes, Portal, and Team Fortress 2). I just started with Half Life 2. It is fun, but I'm into Crysis right now. It also gives me motion sickness, which no other shooter has done (except Half Life 1, which I quit after about 10 minutes for that reason), :S

Hmm, not sure how I missed this post. I'm not really up on what is out on the PS3, so I'm not good for recommendations.

I caught your post when I came here to post this link:
www.gamespot.com/video/0/6194364/videopl...p?rgroup=e32008_live

It is a gameplay video for Dragon Age, Bioware's next PC RPG. It looks pretty damn cool - giants picking characters up and beating on them, mages casting grease spells and then lighting them on fire, etc. There are a few trailers floating around out there, too (cutscenes, but rendered with the in-game engine). Game is due out in the first quarter of 2009.

Did anybody play the Temple of Elemental Evil computer game that Troika released a few years ago (a year or so before the first NWN, if my memory serves me right)? It was interesting in concept, but not very fleshed out if I remember. Well, there are modders who have taken that engine and released a Keep on the Boderlands mod for it:

Interesting, and if I had more time I'd probably load it back up, but I probably will never get around to it.

I feel honored that TOEE has been mentioned here. I was fortunate enough to work with those guys on a lot of the modding done with it.

KoTB is a complete remake of the game, meaning even your splash screen has been altered.

The community mod pack is the way to go if you want to play TOEE with many, many added extras like, quests, locations, npcs, and of course monsters.

The folks at Co8 are extremely talented and I am humbled by their ability to create their own tool-set in order to modify the otherwise unplayable game.

Remember if you're running Vista, TOEE must be run in xp mode as admin.

You are everywhere! In a good way. :)

Seeing all you're involved in makes me hesitant to say it, but I really wish I could win the Powerball, if nothing else than to have time to play all these games I want to. The KoTB remake looks aweseome, plus all the unfinished games I have sitting at home: The Witcher, Bioshock, Mass Effect, Jade Empire, Storm of Zehir, Crysis, Baldur's Gate 2, and more.
